What Needs To Be Done For Maintenance Of Diesel Generator (I)

1. Check the periphery of the diesel generator.

Before starting the diesel generator, the diesel generator shall be inspected every day. The inspection contents are as follows:

(1) Check whether there are sundries such as wipes, waste wires, pipe clamps and screws on the diesel generator and radiator, and keep the diesel engine clean and tidy.

(2) Check all joints and sealing surfaces of fuel system, cooling system and lubrication system for leakage.

(3) Check whether the fan and safety shield are safe and reliable.

(4) Check the fastening of accessories.

(5) Check whether the electrical circuit connector is loose and whether the wire is in good condition.

(6) Check whether the drive belt is intact.

2. Check the fuel tank.

Check the fuel tank level every day.

3. Check the air filter.

Check the air filter every day, and pay attention to the deterioration of engine performance, especially in windy and sandy areas. If the engine runs for a period of time and there is black smoke and power reduction, please check the blockage of the air filter element first (of course, check the spray condition of the nozzle, the fuel supply advance angle, etc.). Once the air filter is blocked, do not clean the filter element with oil, water and other liquids. Stop the machine immediately and replace the air filter element.

Note: After replacing the air filter element, ensure that both ends of the air filter are reliably sealed, and no air leakage is allowed. Never start the diesel generator without air filter (outside the marine diesel engine). Otherwise, it is easy to cause early wear of diesel generator.

4. Check the oil level.

Check the oil level every day before the diesel generator is started or when it is stopped (at least 15 minutes after the shutdown to allow sufficient time for the oil to flow back to the oil pan). The oil level should be between the upper and lower marks on the oil dipstick. If the oil quantity is insufficient, add oil to the near high oil level mark.

Note: Never run the diesel generator when the oil level is lower than the low oil level, otherwise the performance of the diesel engine will become worse, or even the diesel generator will be damaged. However, the oil page shall not exceed the upper reticle FULL.

5. Check the fuel injection pump governor oil level.

Check the oil level every day before starting or when the diesel generator is shut down (at least 15 minutes after the shutdown to allow sufficient time for the oil to flow back to the governor). The filler port on the fuel injection pump is on the governor. The filler cap is integrated with the dipstick.

(1) Loosen the dipstick handle on the governor and check the oil level. If necessary, add it to the upper scale (high oil level mark).

Note: The oil flows into the fuel injection pump through the governor cavity and the bearing clearance, so the refueling process is relatively long.

(2) Tighten the handle of the oil dipstick.
